At ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ College, we believe music is a powerful way for students to express themselves, build confidence, and develop creativity. Our music program supports students at every stage of their learning, from beginners through to more experienced musicians.
Through our Music Program students are afforded with opportunities to learn and grow through private instrumental lessons delivered by talented and skilled instructors. Students may choose from Voice, Piano, Drum Kit, Guitar, and Bass Guitar, allowing them to explore an instrument that best suits their interests and strengths.
Private lessons take place in the fully equipped Champagnat Centre, where students have access to instruments such as drum kits and pianos. However, students will need their own instrument for home practice and may bring hand-held instruments to school for lessons, performances or co-curricular activities.
Lesson times may be arranged before, during, or after school hours, based on the student’s timetable and family preferences. Our private music tuition offering is designed to be flexible, and your Instrumental Music teacher will be in touch to confirm the schedule.
To enrol, please download and complete the Private Music Tuition Enrolment Form.
Completed forms can be returned to Reception or emailed to instrumentalmusic@assumption.vic.edu.au.
Musical tuition at ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ College is more than learning to play an instrument or to sing. It nurtures creativity, discipline, and confidence, while enhancing cognitive skills such as memory and problem-solving.
Music can also foster teamwork and communication when pursued through co-curricular activities, helping students form strong social connections. By engaging in music, students experience joy and self-expression, contributing to their overall wellbeing and academic success. These opportunities are supported by dedicated staff, excellent facilities and a vibrant program that encourages every learner to flourish.
Instrumental music tuition fees are invoiced separately from school tuition, and must be paid in full at the beginning of each term.
Please note that private music lessons do not qualify as a co-curricular activity. However, ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ College offer a range of musical co-curricular options for students who wish to extend skills learned through private tuition, and experience performance opportunities.
These opportunities include band, drumming ensembles, and choir, providing students with meaningful ways to apply their learning in a collaborative setting.
With expert tutors and personalised lessons, students of all skill levels are supported on their musical journey, whether they’re just starting out or aiming to refine their craft.
