¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ College is an invitational and welcoming community where people ‘gather around the same table to share, to celebrate, to laugh, to cry and to grow. We create authentic, accessible and purposeful opportunities to encounter each other, our community and our world.
Our motto, Quae Supra Quaere, calls us to ‘seek the things that are above’ so that compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, patience, forgiveness, love, peace and gratitude are our lived experience. We strive to support students’ holistic development to become good community citizens.
The College celebrates together through significant liturgies which mark important occasions within our College community.
Daily prayer is an important part of the faith life of the College.
Students are invited to participate in meditation activities in the Le Rosey Chapel.
A weekly Mass is held in the Le Rosey Chapel each Friday, attended by day students, boarding students, staff and the College community.
Students and staff are invited to enrich the faith life of our College community through immersions, raising funds and awareness, as well as retreats and Marist Youth Ministry programs such as Game Changers.
Our Faith Team facilitates personal and spiritual development for all students, nourishing their sense of community, strengthening leadership skills and engaging them with wider social issues from a Marist, Catholic perspective.
Students examine issues in both rural and urban contexts, with opportunities to take part in initiatives that benefit society. Our students generously involve themselves with projects and organisations that raise funds and promote awareness for the greater good, including Caritas Project Compassion, Vinnies Winter Appeal, Australian Marist Solidarity, Vinnies Christmas Appeal, Sustainability and Fire Carriers.
Our onsite Chapel, Le Rosey, is named after the birthplace of Saint Marcellin Champagnat, founder of the Marist Brothers Order. He was born in the hamlet of Le Rosey, France, in 1789 during the French Revolution. This site is deeply tied to Marist heritage and spirituality.
The original chapel at Le Rosey in France was inaugurated in 1958 to honour Champagnat and has become a pilgrimage site for Marists worldwide. It stands beside his birth house and features stained-glass windows depicting key moments of his life.
Our own Le Rosey Chapel features beautiful stained-glass windows, commissioned artwork and characteristic architectural features. It is ingrained with the Marist and Catholic symbolism that is deep at the core of our faith and is a stunning yet calm place for spiritual reflection, meditation and prayer.
Our connection to Timor-Leste reflects ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ College’s commitment to faith lived through justice, compassion and relationship. In partnership with Australian Marist Solidarity, our community walks alongside the people of Timor-Leste in support of education, dignity and long-term development.
This relationship grew from a shared belief in the power of learning to rebuild communities and strengthen future generations. Through fundraising, immersion experiences and sustained partnerships in the Baucau district, students and staff engage with a nation shaped by resilience, courage and deep cultural pride.
The connection is grounded in mutual respect rather than charity, recognising the strength and independence of the Timorese people and the importance of standing together in solidarity. It invites our community to see faith as something expressed through action, understanding and shared humanity.
